Landscapes from the Age of Impressionism
October 6 - January 16, 2011
6000 North New Braunfels, San Antonio, TX 78209
Landscapes from the Age of Impressionism includes many of the Brooklyn Museum’s finest works from this period and chronicles the evolution of 19th-century French open-air painting up to its influence on early 20th-century American artists. Complementing the exhibition is an installation of paintings and photographs mostly from the McNay’s collection of postwar and contemporary art exploring the landscape as the main subject.
