Known for her aesthetically sleek and perceptually startling installations, Sarah Oppenheimer focuses on the architecture of the Rice University Art Gallery’s two parallel glass walls. For her installation, D-17, Oppenheimer explores the way light enters the building by controlling it as it passes through the space. Oppenheimer rethinks and reinvents the most taken-for-granted elements of architectural space- planes and holes.
