Renowned curator Bisi Silva, founder and director of the Center for Contemporary Art in Lagos, Nigeria, will speak at The Menil Collection for one night only on Monday, May 10 at 8 pm. Silva will discuss the growing impact of transnational practice and the
emergence of dynamic new forms of exhibition-making in her lecture Contemporary Art and Shifting Curatorial Practices in a Transnational Age. Presenting her own
research into artists, Silva will also share her perspectives on
curatorial networks and collaborative institutional models around the
world. This lecture is presented by the Core Program at the Glassell School of Art and Independent Curators International.
