UH grad Joe Wooten’s current show is full of tongue-in-cheek, brightly colored collages created out of hand-dyed paper. Somewhere between 2-D and 3-D, Wooten’s work is a lesson in dichotomy, including dark imagery (skulls, etc.) painted with ironically cheery tones. It’s the perfect show to kick off summer!
