In conjunction with this exhibition, Valley House Gallery is presenting its inaugural Salon Series. This first salon will cover Government Funding of the Visual Arts, and feature panelists David A. Smith, Senior Lecturer in American History at Baylor University and author of "Money for Art: The Tangled Web of Art and Politics in American Democracy"; Maria Munoz-Blanco, Director, City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs; and Charissa N. Terranova, Assistant Professor of Aesthetic Studies and Director of Centraltrak: The UT Dallas Artists Residency. The event will be held on Monday, June 1, at 6:30 pm.
