For It’s Like a Machine, and It’s Meant To Be Repeated, furniture designer/sculptor Michael Mellon and performance artist Jacques Louis Vidal each created a list of artworks (visual, performance, and video) that they’ve made, and then broke their concepts down into a simple list of ideas. Then they traded lists and created work based on the ideas found on the other person’s list. We get to see the results when both artists’ works are presented side-by-side. Sounds like things could get a little confounded, à la Pictionary after too much wine. They’ll even be creating work during the opening. Should be interesting.
