Works by ten contemporary sculptors installed within the grounds of the The San Antonio Botanical Gardens. This year's exhibit, Curated by Chicago sculptor, Richard Hunt, features sculptures by members of the Texas Sculpture Group, the Mid-South Alliance and Chicago Sculpture International. Mid-South Sculpture Alliance members are Isaac Duncan III, Andrew Light, Linda Walden, and Bret Price. Danville Chadbourne, Julia Ousley, Ben Woitena represent the Texas Sculpture Group, and Jean Jacques Porret and Ted Sitting Crow Garner, Chicago Sculpture International.

Artpace San Antonio opens two new exhibitions. Artist Anya Gallaccio returns to Artpace 16 years after her International Artist-in-Residence exhibition with a new installation for the Hudson (Show)Room inspired by the geology of Texas. Michael Menchaca’s AUTOS SACRAMENTALES references Mesoamerican “codices” to address sociopolitical issues surrounding the US-Mexican border.

Since 2003, the McNay Contemporary Collectors Forum has purchased one or two works of art for the McNay's collection at the group's annual fall View & Vote. Acquisitions on view include works by John Miller, Ed Kienholz and Nancy Reddin Kienholz, John Fraser, Susie Rosmarin, Lesley Dill, Sandy Skoglund, Chakaia Booker, Roger Shimomura, Lance Letscher, Whitfield Lovell, and Radcliffe Bailey. MCCF's selection for 2012 is a large color photograph by Brazilian artist Vik Muniz.
