DEADLINE EXTENDED: Proposals now due Thursday, June 28 at 5 P.M.
Request for Proposals Project: Art Bollard Sleeves, 2nd Street Bridge Art in Public Places Project

Budget: $65,000

The City of Austin Art in Public Places (AIPP) program of the Cultural Arts Division, Economic Growth & Redevelopment Services Office (EGRSO) seeks Austin area artists to submit proposals for a new commission in the exciting Seaholm District. The goal of the art is to create art bollard sleeves for traffic bollards for the extension of 2nd Street, which is planned to be a festival street. (A traffic bollard is a solid object intended to separate the pedestrian way from the vehicular way; in this case the bollards will likely be 42" high and 6"-8" in diameter.)
