2012 Winter Holiday Art Market Call for Submissions
Fresh Arts (formerly Spacetaker) will host its 7th Annual Winter Holiday Art Market (WHAM) this November 16-18 at Winter Street Studios. Growing in size and popularity each year, this three-day exhibition, sale and art festival in one has become an important sales and exposure opportunity for Houston-area artists.
WHAM is a juried market that features 60 local artists representing a wide variety of arts and crafts, including paintings, prints, sculpture, photography, jewelry, clothing and fabric arts, soaps, and other hand-crafted items.
Fresh Arts hosts WHAM to afford local artists the chance to showcase and sell their work to the general public, while simultaneously promoting the breadth and artistry of our city's creative community. Since its launch, WHAM has generated more than $300,000 for hundreds of local artists and continues to grow as an important venue for Houston artists.
The average total that artists made at WHAM 2011 was $1,188 with 33 artists selling over $1,000, 9 artists selling over $2,000, 3 artists selling over $3,000, and 1 artist selling over $4,000.
2012 WHAM HOURS:
Friday, November 16th, 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Saturday, November 17th, 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Sunday, November 18th, 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
