FotoFest needs volunteers
FotoFest – Literacy Through Photography is looking for some fun creative and reliable people to volunteer on January 26th from 12 – 5:30 for the FotoFun fundraiser. Literacy Through Photography is FotoFest’s education component that brings photography to the classrooms and teaches students how to use the camera as a vehicle for self expression while strengthening their writing and cognitive thinking skills.
This year we will be hosting our 8th annual FotoFun event, which is the sole fundraiser that allows the Literacy Through Photography program to continue operating in Houston schools. The theme of this year’s event is Tales from Near and Far! and children from all over the Houston area will be invited to explore the different folktales, fairy tales and tall tales from around the world through crafts and activities.
