Visitor Relations Internship

AMOA-Arthouse internships are ideal for expanding one’s understanding of the functions of contemporary art spaces and non-profit organizations, as well as a great way to become an active part of the visual arts community in Austin.

The Visitor Relations Intern works directly with the Visitor Relations Manager, and performs a variety of roles directly related to AMOA-Arthouse’s visitorship and visitor relations, mainly functioning as the ambassador between AMOA-Arthouse and the public. The Visitor Relations Intern will help track visitor demographics, work at the front desk, sell memberships and merchandise, and will provide a welcoming presence for visitors. This internship can be located at both, The Jones Center and Laguna Gloria locations.

Prospective interns should meet the following qualifications:
• A strong interest in contemporary art, issues and visual culture
• Ability to articulate ideas and communicate well with a variety of personalities
• Work well under pressure and with deadlines
• Be a creative thinker
• Have daytime availability
• Multitask easily

Internships are organized into fall, spring and summer sessions at both of our locations. All applicants applying for a position should send a cover letter, resume and internship application form to Natalie Baker, nbaker@amoa-arthouse.org. The application form can be found on our website.
