LAAA's 2012 Open Show runs December 1, 2012 to January 4, 2013

Location: Gallery 825 - 825 N. La Cienega Boulevard, Los Angeles CA 90069
Reception: Saturday, December 1, 6 to 9pm
Delivery Date of Accepted Work: Tuesday, November 27, 10am to 5pm
Pick-up of Unsold Work: Saturday, January 5, 2013, 10am to 5pm

PLEASE READ ALL GUIDELINES AND APPLICATION FORM CAREFULLY

ELIGIBILITY: Competition open to all artists of any media. Entries must be work created within the last three years. Media: All media. No craft or functional pieces. *For video: please send DVD and make sure disc is cued. Accepted video artists must provide their own equipment/ monitors, projectors, DVD player, etc. Discs must be set up for continuous play.

FEES: Non-members: $40 for up to 3 entries; each additional entry is $10. LAAA Members: $20 for up to 3 entries; each additional entry is $5. Limit of 5 entries per person. Details of work limited to 2 per entry. Make checks payable to LAAA. Do not send cash. Entry fees are non-refundable. ENTRY: Juror will review only digital images of artwork on CD. NO ACTUAL ARTWORK WILL BE REVIEWED BY THE JUROR prior to selection process. Entries must be submitted on CD in jpg format - 300 dpi. NO FILES SHOULD BE LARGER THAN 1MB. IMPORTANT - DIGITAL IMAGES MUST BE NAMED AS FOLLOWS: Please name each image with your last name followed by title. For example: Smithson.bird.jpg, Smithson.landscape.jpg, etc...All information including artist name, contact information, title, date, price, medium and dimensions must be included on a clearly printed entry form or document to accompany the CD. Improperly labeled entries may be rejected. LAAA is not responsible for lost or damaged entries. Do not send resumes, bios or artist statements. ENTRIES MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY REGISTRATION FEE AND COMPLETED ENTRY FORM. All entries become property of LAAA. No entry materials will be returned. Submitted images of accepted work may be used by LAAA for press and promotional materials. ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE DEADLINE: 5PM FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26.

DELIVERY OF ACCEPTED WORK: Accepted work must be available November, 27, 2012 - January 4, 2013. Work must be delivered to the gallery on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. All work must be properly framed and/or ready to hang (no saw tooth or clip-on hangers, no exceptions). Works requiring specific hardware must be provided when work is delivered. Glass may not be used in metal frames exceeding 48". At the juror's discretion, work that is dirty, in disrepair or otherwise deemed unfit for display may be excluded from the show. All decisions of the juror are final. Work must be unwrapped by artist upon delivery. LAAA will not store any packing materials. Pick-up of unsold work is January 5, 2013 10am - 5pm.

SALES: All work will be offered for sale. All work must be priced to include LAAA's 40% commission. Artists will receive 60% commission on artwork sold. Payment for sales will be sent to artists 30 days after the close of the show.
Liability: Neither LAAA, its staff, Board nor anyone connected to the exhibition is responsible for any loss, damage, breakage or theft of artwork while at the gallery. Your entry into this exhibition constitutes agreement with these terms and conditions as set forth herein.
