Call for ACTORS! CALL FOR ACTORS! La Música del Cielo, Una Pastorela
MECA and Main Street Theater will hold auditions on Saturday, July 28 for La Música del Cielo, Una Pastorela. The pastorela, or Shepherd's Play, is a Mexican tradition, a comic, irreverent and politically savvy popular theater-piece with music and dance presented around Christmas time. La Musica del Cielo is written and directed by Peter M. Webster.
Auditions will be held Saturday, July 28, 2012, 3-6pm and 7-9pm at MECA.
Bring your resume and be prepared for the following: a two minute monologue in Spanish, brief song excerpt (a cappella; preferably in Spanish), and a demonstration of dance abilities.
The play will be presented December 7-9, 2012 at Main Street Theater - Chelsea Market in Spanish with English sub-titles, Spanish-speaking actors are required. Rehearsals will begin Saturday, November 24.
