CAREER OPPORTUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT
Position: Salesperson at Los Angeles-based fine art gallery
Responsibilities
* Represent Leslie Sacks Fine Art at art fairs (domestic and abroad), up to six times annually
* Curate the fair exhibitions from gallery's inventory (in collaboration with the gallery owner and director)
* Arrange and monitor travelling exhibitions and consignments to dealers, galleries and museums (domestic and abroad)
* Network gallery inventory amongst art consultants, designers, interior decorators, dealers, and collectors, locally and internationally
* Provide sales backup at the primary gallery location in Los Angeles, and be able to also work remotely from home
Qualifications
* Comfortable with the Modern & Contemporary masters, namely European art from the Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, Modern and Post-War periods and American art from the Modern, Post-War and Contemporary periods, including paintings, works on paper, sculptures, as well as fine prints
* Extremely competent at the highest levels of sales and client/gallery relations, with at least 3-5 years of art sales background
* Existing qualified client base as well as a strong capacity to network and grow
* Long-term commitment of at least 3 years
* Uncompromising work ethic
* Must be proactive and resourceful in marketing and networking
* Degree in art history or visual arts preferred, but not required
Position
* Preferably full-time
* Commission-based salary, commensurate with experience
