HCCC seeks curatorial fellow
Houston Center for Contemporary Craft (HCCC) seeks a Curatorial Fellow to assist the Curator in developing and executing exhibitions that meet HCCC’s strategic goals of national and local prominence, program excellence, and building audience awareness of the field. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker who is able to manage multiple, short and long-term projects and work collaboratively with our small curatorial staff. The successful candidate will have knowledge of craft history and the contemporary craft context as well as a familiarity with major and emerging artists. Skill in organization of exhibitions from conception to execution and knowledge of museum practices strongly preferred.
HCCC presents up to twelve exhibitions each year and does not maintain a permanent collection. A full description of the position, application information, and overview of the organization can be viewed at www.crafthouston.org.
Annual Salary $28,000 with benefits
Annual housing allowance $5,000
403b retirement plan option
Grant funded term: Fall 2012 to Summer 2015
