VideoFest Teeshirt Design Contest
Two VideoFest Design Contests
This year, VideoFest is offering two design contests for you to take part in!
The first is our T-shirt design contest. This is a contest for everybody with a hankering to see their design displayed on the backs of others. It is in celebration of VideoFest 25 and crossing the creative aspects of film/media/art design into something funky-fresh. A winning design will be selected by an esteemed group of judges (to be named at a later date) on August 5th and will be available in-festival at the Dallas Museum of Art. There are a few must-haves for this design though:
1) VideoFest 25 at the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA), Sept 27-30th 2012
2) VideoFest's Primary Colors - red/white/black (others secondary)
3) VideoFest 25 Mascot - Video Guy can be included, yet not mandatory.
The deadline for submission is midnight on July 31, 2012 CST. The designer of the winning contribution will receive the following wonderful prizes: 20 T-shirts, a pass to VideoFest 25, a videotaped or written interview and photos of their design featured on the VAD website.
Next up, we have the VideoFest Art Collage Contest. This is another contest open to everyone - we love diversity! The goal is to create an art piece that reflects VideoFest's 25th Anniversary utilizing previous years' promotional materials in a creative way. We have postcards, posters, stickers, banners, signage, CDs and program guides all available for re-purposing into a one-of-a-kind piece of art - going green is important to us. Artists also can include additional mediums. The ideal piece could be an interesting collage, arrangement, poster, diptych or triptych in any shape or form. It can be made to hang or be framed. The submission deadline for this contest is midnight on August 10, 2012 CST; with the selection of multiple winners made by a panel of judges and announced on or before August 15, 2012. The commemorative art pieces will be sold at a Party/Auction on Sept 14th (All proceeds going back to VAD for development of education, partnering and community events).
