Donate to help make The Codex Migratus Animatus by Michael Menchaca

Hello,

As an artist and resident of San Antonio, TX, I’m interested in getting support from the media about my current project on USA Projects.

I’m launching an animated film project that frames stories of illegal immigration along the US/Mexican border as an ancient codex, following the format of the Aztec and Mayan codices. My goal is to animate and re-interpret the events along the US border from an entirely new perspective using a combination of US modern-age animation and ancient Mexican symbolism. I’m aiming to raise $3,000 by August 2, 2012 to cover basic animation production costs. If you can support this project with a donation, in any capacity, together we can make this idea a reality! Sharing the project with others and sending me your thoughts are also very valuable ways to show your support.
