Exhibitions Intern needed at Art League Houston
Overall Description:
We are looking for an intern to assist with exhibitions. 2-3 days a week required. Must be able to help at openings and events. Must have a car.
Responsibilities include the following:
Painting and sanding walls,
Artwork installation,
Moving heavy objects,
Laying wall vinyl,
Creating image lists,
Artist research,
Social media marketing, use of Facebook, Constant Contact, Twitter, Tumblr, Flikr etc.
Qualifications:
Interest in working in a non-profit art gallery setting.
Excellent writing skills
Strong attention to details
Ability to handle large projects and meet deadlines
Ability to work well alone or in a group
Benefits:
Unpaid, part-time internship
Estimated 12-18 hours per week
Estimated three month commitment (with possibility of continuing)
