Young Latino Artists 23: Beyond Walls, Between Gates, Under Bridges marks the 23rd year for this annual exhibition dedicated to the professional development of emerging Latinx artists and curators. Guest Curator, Gil Rocha-Rochelli, is from Laredo, Texas and his curatorial endeavors are inspired by significant social changes across the Mexican American Border in the last 20 years. The exhibition will serve as a platform to allow artists to address issues of restriction, censorship, revolt, and the ways in which hope drives people forward.
Selection for this exhibition will occur between March 21 and March 30. Artists selected for this show will be contacted no later than April 7 and will need to RSVP no later than April 14. Selected works (or new artworks) must be available from June 2 to August 26. Artist will be responsible for delivery and return of artwork, including any costs for shipping and handling.
