Art Teacher for Elementary
Berry Elementary Environmental Science Magnet School is looking for an Environmental Art Teacher. You must have a minimum of a bacholers degree. Teaching certification and experience is a plus. If you do not have teaching certification, you must enroll in ACP classes and complete them during the first year if hired.
Teacher must be able to accomodate 700 + students throughout week, be organized, flexible, and work with team. There is a kiln on campus and it is a plus if you know how to work with clay. The art teacher must also support the environmental magnet, projects around the school, and help with afterschool activities.
Teacher will be required to follow all of the school procedures, be assessed with current HISD system, and have meaningful lessons that are based around authentic student work.
