San Antonio Museum of Art seeks a full-time Grant Assistant to assist in the grant administration process, working closely with the Director's office in supporting the Museum’s fundraising goals and objectives.
The Grant Assistant's primary role is to assist in the Museum's grant administration process, which will include researching, writing, and developing funding sources; as well as assisting with the coordination of all grant proposals, and the corresponding budgets, reporting and tracking. The Grant Assistant will work with Museum leadership to forward the mission of the Museum, and will develop an ongoing understanding of institutional history and programs.
Qualifications may include a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; must have excellent writing skills, as well as work effectively and communicate clearly and professionally with staff, public, volunteers and professional contacts. Ideal candidate should also have excellent organizational, writing, and editing skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals. Ideal candidate must be highly organized with a strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to meet deadlines and the ability to effectively work in a fast paced, multitasking environment is required. Ideal candidate should also have advanced working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software applications; experience with Raiser’s Edge fundraising software is preferred. Ideal candidate must have facility with math. This position may also assist in the planning and execution of Museum events and may be required to attend Museum and community functions as required.
