HCP seeks qualified instructors to teach workshops in a variety of photo-related topics. We are looking for individuals whom are knowledgeable with film and/or digital photography processes to teach adults. HCP’s classes range from 2 – 10 hours per meeting with an average of 1-4 meetings per session. Classes are held during weekdays, weeknights, and weekend days. Workshop calendars are scheduled three times per year: Fall, Spring and Summer with classes offered year-round.
HCP's curriculum follows the photographic workflow (Capture, Edit, Process and Present) with classes in these fields such as:
Capturing Images: Camera, Scanning, Alternative Processes, etc.
Editing Images: Portfolio building classes, photographic analysis & discussion groups, etc.
Processing Images: Digital Processing with Lightroom, Photoshop & other related programs
Presenting Images: Critiquing, Inkjet Printing, Website Building, Book Making
Special consideration will be given to individuals specializing in post-processing photography programs (Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.), website building, and the History of Photography.
-BFA in Photography required; Master's degree in Photography or related field highly preferred
-BA or MA in Art History with a photography emphasis is a minimum to teach the History of Photography courses
-Minimum of two years’ teaching experience in photo related subjects
Wages and Schedule: This position is part time on a contractor's basis. Salary is paid at the hourly rate starting at $25/hour for teaching.
