The International Art Mission winner of Round 2 is Ashley Chiles (Austin, Texas), who will be awarded $500 for her work on the "sustainable hunting" documentary production called "The Texas Huntress". Ashley's understanding of ethical, cultural and political aspects of food and hunting are notably thought-provoking and executed with style, taste and grace. Her skills as a creator and producer have been earned by experience. Ashley's bold character and exceptional professional work is clear, clever and instantaneously recognizable as genius.

The Spotlight winner of Round 2 goes to James Saldivar (San Antonio, Texas), who will be awarded $100 for his abstract paintings and the multiple layers of art philosophy surrounding his work. James' enthusiasm for art and life itself is both nuanced and infective. This is easily proven by reading the thematic statements affiliated to his various collections of work. James produces work that is both pleasing to the eye and the mind. His work could be considered a refuge, persuading the viewer to feel the positive essence of life.

The Award Winner of Round 1 was Gabriel Diego Delgado (San Antonio, Texas). His astonishing political-themed paintings and works on paper, and dedication to professionally supporting the foundations of art earned our attention without question. Delgado's mission and works are symbolically perfect to the purpose as the first winner of the grant. A monetary award was given to Gabriel for the creation of new work.

The additional Round 2 submissions to The International Art Mission will be forwarded to Round 3, not only because of the quality of work, but as gratitude for accepting the transformation of this grant. The deadline for Round 3 will be March 10, 2012. Further information will be posted on the Facebook group at www.artmission.info until a formal website is complete.

The International Art Mission was founded by Brent Bruni Comiskey of Houston, Texas as a philanthropic medium to help facilitate the success of emerging artists. The purpose of The International Art Mission is to support artists, creators and producers via grants and commissions. There are no limits. Any discipline of art is valid and encouraged. Monetary awards are provided via competitions and assignments. Those who inspire us will be honored and compensated with appreciation and gratitude.

The intended result of The International Art Mission is to invigorate the experience of art in society. We seek moxie by proxy for the immediate proliferation of art. Who are you? Get involved by joining our Facebook group, posting your work or explaining your theories. This is a trip we are taking together to explore art and creative forces to enhance, educate and enlighten humanity and culture. The spirit of The International Art Mission is to bring art to life. You may help us create this purpose by posting on our Facebook page, sharing our page with your friends and inviting others to join The Mission. The International Art Mission is kindly sponsored by a few generous art patrons, and like an anthropomorphic "Goodzilla", we need monetary sustenance to exist. Don't hesitate to discuss sponsorship with us.
