Assistant Professor of Studio - New Media


Texas Christian University's College of Fine Arts is seeking a committed artist-teacher to develop a series of New Media courses that embraces video, new technologies, digital processes and interdisciplinary/cross-disciplinary studio practices. The candidate is expected to facilitate experimental and innovative approaches to contemporary visual art practice through New Media. The applicant's professional work should reflect these practices. In addition to developing New Media classes, teaching foundation courses in drawing or two/three-dimensional design is required as a shared responsibility of Studio faculty members.

Qualifications:
MFA in New Media, or Studio, or related fields required. Two or more years teaching experience beyond the graduate teaching assistant level preferred. Mac proficiency, competency in video editing software and 3-D computer modeling preferred.

Rank:
Assistant Professor, full-time, tenure-track. Salary and benefits, including benefits for domestic partners, are highly competitive. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Starting Date: August 2012
