All volunteer positions are designed as interesting and creative tasks for the professional with available time or the highly skilled student looking for class credit and to build a portfolio. Develop new standards and templates for our graphic production for printed matter (postcards, posters and brochures) and online eblasts, evites, banners and posts.

Join the team to produce the 2012 Texas and Patron of the Year Gala and the spring 2012 “Marty” art auction to support the healing art program. Self produce several art openings and workshops.
Elementary Art Education
Develop education standards and promotional systems for the summer Kid’s Art Camp. Visit other Camp operators and make recommendations for Art League Camp. Assist us promote the Art Camp. Could result in a position as paid Camp Counselor in summer 2012.
Texas Artists of the Year Website and Future Book
For thirty years, the Art League Houston has awarded the Texas Artist on the Year. The Art League needs public website to celebrate the artists and the program. The project includes gathering all materials, contacting the artists, creating a simple 30 page website with descriptions, images and links.
The website should be convertible onto a pdf as a downloadable book. The project could continue into a P.O.D. book with fiscal support and commissioned essays.
Adult Education Business Expansion Plan
The Art League has been very successful at offering art classes for more than 60 years. We believe that our model of a comfortable, friendly environment for learning and sharing skills might be expanded to other locations.. The Art League needs a professional evaluation of our current adult education management/profitability and then a proposed business plan to expand number of people making art in Harris County through Art League programs.
