The Contemporary Art Month calendar is open for submissions for March 2017 events. Open to all San Antonio area artists, curators, directors, club owners, producers, events managers and arts organizations to announce and promote Contemporary Art Month events, shows, and exhibitions. $15 for artist-run space, $30 for commercial run-space and $50 for institutions. One Payment per venue, i.e. numerous events can be listed for the same venue at no extra charge.

The annual CAM kick-off celebration will take place on First Thursday March 2nd at Blue Star Contemporary.

CAM is pleased to announce Chris Ingalls, a member of the International Society of Appraisers and member of ArtTable, as the Curator of the 2017 CAM Perennial. We are also happy to note that the CAM Perennial will be hosted at the Southwest School of Art, opening March 10th.

CAMx 2017 will be hosted by R Space, a gallery run by nationally recognized local artist, Alex Rubio and will collaborate with Laundromat Art Space in Miami, Florida. This partnership allows local San Antonio artists and Miami based artist the chance to connect about contemporary art through this exchange. CAMx opening March 11th.

Every year, CAM recognizes excellence and diversity throughout the city’s rich landscape with the presentations of the CAMMIE Awards. We are excited to announce the following cultural organizations as judges for the 2017 CAMMIE Awards; San Antonio Museum of Art, McNay Art Museum, Southwest School of Art, Blue Star Contemporary, Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center, Carver Community Cultural Center and Artpace. March 30th at the Linda Pace Foundation CHRISpark.

Because we know how invested you are in San Antonio and its growth, CAM will continue to foster collaborations with local institutions to strengthen San Antonio’s art community internally while raising awareness of our community’s efforts beyond our borders, reaching new audiences and positioning San Antonio as a premier arts destination.
