La Chilanga is a small, family owned restaurant run by a lovely and welcoming couple by the name of Juan and Theresa Vara. Quite the unique venue, the restaurant doubles as a small market for odds and ends with essential supplies at the ready for the community of La Bajada, a neighborhood of West Dallas. The work for this exhibition will be derived from the visual culture of this particular space.
