Ceramic decals are a great way to incorporate imagery onto clay. Decals contain ceramic pigments that are silk screened onto flexible decal paper for transfer onto a glazed piece and fired at a low temperature. This two-day class will explore the possibilities of using commercially produced decals as well as give students the opportunity to create their own computer-generated decals using special decal paper and laser-jet printer. Students are asked to bring "glazed blanks" for use applying decals. Please see SSA website for a list of materials.
