Special Class!! Salt Water Etching with Artist Arthur Hash
Like the look of etched metal surfaces but you're not too crazy about having harmful chemicals in your studio? There is an alternative etching process that uses only a salt water solution and electrical current to effectively etch copper, copper alloys (brass, bronze, etc.), steel, aluminum and titanium. Although proper disposal of the by-product is still required, the process in whole is much safer for individuals and community studios. Hash will lead students through basic studio set-up of this etching process, and time will be given allowing students to etch samples on various metals. Attention: Sign-up for both workshops with Arthur Hash at the same time and receive a $30.00 discount off the combined tuition. Note: this discount is applied by the Registration Office.
