Registration is still open for the Art Center’s 2011 Fall fine art classes! In Alla Prima Painting, participants will learn how to complete a painting from start to finish in one sitting! This NEW class will take place every Saturday in September. The cost is $60 for the month or $20 per class for one time drop-ins. A supply list is available on request. Education is at the heart of the Art Center’s mission and an integral component in all its activities. Programming provides art classes for children, youth, families, adults, senior citizens, and groups with special needs. Activities include fine art camps, artist workshops and field trip activities for local schools. About The Art Center of Corpus Christi, promoting arts and culture in the Costal Bend for 40 years: The Art Center of Corpus Christi (www.artcentercc.org, 361-884-6406) was founded as a community art center and 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization in 1972. “The Center” provides an environment for creative expression with educational programs and exhibition of the arts. Its facilities include ten art organizations, five gallery spaces, and special events. The Art Center has free admission and is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 10AM to 4PM.
