Art.Science.Gallery. is pleased to announce an open call for entries for “x marks the spot”, a group art exhibition about scientific variables. The show will run from October 25 - November 23, 2014 and examines a variety of interpretations of scientific variables, not only how they are symbolized in scientific research but how they function across various disciplines. This week the gallery released an open call to artists from around the world to submit art related to the expression and interpretation of scientific variables. Interested artists may submit up to 3 works or proposed works for consideration by completing the application package available at www.ArtScienceGallery.com/opencall. The due date for submissions is Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 11:59 pm CST. There is no entry fee and works may be in any artistic medium.
The exhibition coincides with EAST Austin Studio Tour, a self-guided tour of East Austin’s art studios, galleries and creative spaces November 15-16 & 22-23.
