Fall is Back to School Time at the SOUTHWEST SCHOOL OF ART:
Community Class Registration Begins Next Week!
(SAN ANTONIO, TX – July 29, 2014) – Admit it – summer will be over soon. It’s back to school time – for your kids and for you! This fall, get back into the learning game by launching your creative spirit in a fun, relaxing art class at the Southwest School of Art!
The Southwest School of Art has been offering an extensive list of beginning and advanced art classes for adults since 1970. Students don’t need to have any art experience to begin their creative journey. Classes are small and offer a deep level of individualized instruction, so there’s no reason to hesitate! We offer introductory classes in ceramics, photography, drawing, painting, printmaking, metals, weaving, computer graphics, letterpress, glassblowing, welding, and more!
Most classes begin in September and run through December, but short-term courses, weekend workshops and single day sessions with visiting artists are also offered. Classes can accommodate any level of time commitment.
Online member registration for fall classes at the Southwest School of Art opens next week on Tuesday, August 5 at 9 am. Students can browse the entire summer catalog of classes, become members, and register for their classes all at www.swschool.org/community. Registration opens to the general public the following Tuesday, August 12, at 9 am. Registration is ongoing throughout the term, but some classes fill quickly. Be sure to become a member to register early!
Also, qualified community students can audit some classes in the new BFA degree program starting this fall! Students may be eligible to enroll as non-degree-seeking students in Foundations 1, Drawing 1, Art History Survey 1 or Visual Literacy. Contact the Office of the Registrar at 210.200.8227 for more information.
