Painting with Wax: Textures - Bonny Leibowitz (Encaustic Center)

Stretch your creative muscles as you experiment with joint compound, grids and various brushing techniques to build heavy texture on boards.

Artist Books - Sheila Cunningham

Create fun and innovative books that move, pop-out or hold secret messages in this workshop for students of all levels. You will explore a variety of book structures that can be embellished with artwork and photos.

Learn to Felt - Suzanne Morgan

Learn about different fibers, the basic steps of wet felting, and what felts/what doesn't in this introductory workshop!

Social Media for Artists - Sharon Shero

This lecture will further introduce and discuss the advantages of various kinds of social media on the Web today. Appropriate selections for artists will be reviewed in more detail, including how to use these to your best marketing advantage.

Wednesday, June 11th 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm (1 day)

Drawing Realism - Maureen Killaby

This workshop provides step-by-step demonstrations on how to create textures, basic strokes, blending, shading and some combined media. Topics include an introduction of light sources, line and tonal drawing to produce modeled three-dimensional drawings and portraits.

Fused Glass Suncatchers - Diane Flynn

Design and create your own beautiful suncatchers and learn about the basic qualities of glass. All materials provided.
