Basic Function/Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, this position is responsible for the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports, cash requirements analysis, reporting and documentation, forecasting, long range planning, financial analysis, and special administrative projects. Oversees revenue tracking and reporting including accounts receivable. Coordinates with department representatives in the identification and tracking of performance measures. Develops and manages systems that gather, track, and report measures and performance related to organizational goals. Develops cost of service analysis and benchmarking comparisons. Assists with the organization’s annual audit and tax reporting. Assists with preparation of data and reports for the Board of Directors and Board Committees. Must keep abreast of requirements and changes in FASB and GAAP.
Education, Skills & Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business with concentration in Accounting, Finance, Management, or Economics or a related field with five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in financial analysis, budget analysis, and/or management research preferably in a non-profit or similar environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.CPA designation is preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of principles and methods of budget preparation, maintenance, and controls.
Knowledge of computer planning models and information systems. Knowledge of cost benefit analysis and project management. Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work. Knowledge of using computers and computer systems to gather and process information. Knowledge of forecasting and estimating methods and techniques, statistical concepts, etc. Knowledge of research methods, survey techniques, and report writing. Experience in preparing data and reports for a board of directors and/or board appointed committees. Experience in preparation of annual report for organization or other high level popular reporting. Experience in budget preparation for multiple companies, department, and divisions preferred. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferred. Skill in determining needs, gathering, analyzing and presenting moderately complex data in management report format. Skill in researching information by locating appropriate data sources. Skill in generating and analyzing statistical reports, statistical compilations, development of graphic presentation and written reports. Skill in effective oral and written communication including making presentations. Skill in resolving problems or situations requiring the exercise of good judgment. Skill in establishing and maintaining positive, effective working relationships with administrators, employees, patrons and the public. Ability to analyze and interpret economic data and trends. Ability to schedule and coordinate activities between various parties and plan specific aspects of a project. Valid Texas Motor Vehicle Class C Operator’s License.
