Animation: Moving Sculptures
In this hands-on animation camp, participants will design and build their sets, props, and characters and then bring them to life through the art of animation. Presented in collaboration with the Dallas Video Association and led by Dallas VideoFest Director, Bart Weiss, this camp will give students the tools they need to create their own animated short video. They will learn the basics of camera composition, lighting, movement, story, character development and editing software from professional animation artists. The week will culminate with a screening of the finished animated shorts during the DMA Late Night event. Volunteers need to assist teachers and DMA staff. Write to email@example.com if interested.
