Fabric Dyeing & Design Workshop

Adventure in dying natural fabrics. This is an introductory course for anyone who loves to work in fabric. Learn how to use the commercial dyes and create nuances you only just imagined. Practice the technique of finding out what fiber content is in a mystery fiber.
In one day you will learn what you need to to go on and experiment by yourself or get ready to take one of my upcoming weekly follow up classes at the Center.
Valery has been dyeing fabrics for 25 years. She has her own style and techniques not listed in the books. Try something new with this expert's guidance.
Materials list: White washed dyable silks and cottons. Yardage and a t-shirt or two; gloves, apron, plastic buckets, newspaper, clothes line, old beat up iron, towels, plastic sheet and bags, string. Please bring a lunch.
