The Dallas Cultural Centers are accepting artists’ proposals for 2014 season. Operated by the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs, the Bath House, Latino, Oak Cliff and South Dallas Cultural Centers offer unique arts and cultural programs for the Citizens of Dallas and visitors. Opportunities are issued by the Cultural Centers with specific criteria for each program. Please follow the website links to download applications. Deadlines vary.
Bath House Cultural Center is issuing a Call for Theater Proposals for the 2014-2015 Season. All materials must be mailed. Submissions will be reviewed by a selection committee. Only 501 (c) 3 organizations need apply. Specific criteria and proposal format are included in the online application. Deadline: February 21, 2014 by 5:00 p.m. Questions? Latino Cultural Center is issuing a Call for Entries for their annual juried exhibition, Hecho en Dallas. The exhibit showcases the work of professional artists who reside within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Artwork must have been created within the last 3 years. All mediums will be considered. Entries must be received by the deadline or hand-delivered during regular LCC business hours. Deadline: February 11, 2014 by 5:00 p.m. Questions? Oak Cliff Cultural Center is issuing a Call for Artists to teach or exhibit work at the Center. Submissions can include proposals for performing, visual and culinary arts, and can include workshops, classes, presentations and lectures. South Dallas Cultural Center is issuing a Call for Entries for the It’s My Right exhibition honoring the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Submissions should explore contemporary controversies related to the Act; how far we’ve come or need to go in the fight for equal rights for disenfranchised groups. The Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA) provides opportunities for all Dallas citizens and visitors to have access to the arts and the means of cultural expression. The Office of Cultural Affairs works with its citizen advisory board, the Cultural Affairs Commission, to foster the development of the cultural system in Dallas.
