You are invited to join Jane Miller at the opening of her exhibition, Books without pages, pages without books, this Saturday from 6:00 - 9:00 at G Gallery located on 11th Street in the historic Houston Heights.

Miller's Time Not Wasted, 1999 was an early Rice Gallery installation. Miller returned to Houston last year to represent Rice Gallery at the 2012 Texas Contemporary Art Fair with her installation ClockShop,a whimsical space brimming with clocks, clock parts, prints, small paintings, and objects, all available for sale at less than one-hundred dollars.

Books without pages, pages without books will exemplify Miller's approach that she compares to that of a putterer, a tinkerer, or a fix-it person will be celebrated in objects that include drawings, handmade books, small paintings, sculptures, and wallpaper, all available from $50.00 or less.

About the Artist

Jane Miller's work in many mediums has deep roots in book and printmaking traditions. An apprenticeship at Pennyroyal Press, Massachusetts while still in high school led Miller earn a BFA at University of Iowa Print Workshop and a MFA from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne. She lives in Connecticut and is Senior Museum Assistant in the Department of Coins and Medals at Yale University Art Gallery,.
