City of El Paso Development Center Mural Project

The City of El Paso’s Museums and Cultural Affairs Department (MCAD) Public Art Program invites professional artists or artist teams living within the County of El Paso to submit their qualifications to be considered for City of El Paso Development Center interior mural project located at 801 Texas Avenue. About the Project
The City of El Paso Public Art Program is seeking artists or artist teams to create a mural on the City Development Center four story stairwell located at 801 Texas Avenue. The commissioned artist or artist team will be required to gather research and present an original design reflective of the City Departments located at 801 Texas Avenue. Artistic themes for possible design proposals could include, but not be limited to, art which is abstract, urban, geographic, topographic, and vibrant. The four (4) levels of the building will house the following departments:
• City Development Center
o Building Permits and Inspection
o Economic Development
o Historic Preservation
• Community and Human Development
• Parks and Recreation Administrative Office
