HOURS: FULL TIME (40 HRS/WEEK)

A Temporary Project Manager is needed to join a team which manages a large corporate art collection in Dallas. The ideal candidate will train with, assist, and fill in for the Account Manager for a period of (9 months?), The Temporary Project Manager will be responsible for the management and realization/production of a major publication within that time period, and will report to the Account Manager, providing regular input on all activity.
The Account Manager serves as the primary contact for the client and is responsible for client satisfaction in managing and maintaining a large corporate art collection. Working closely with an established team in Dallas, the Temporary Project Manager must plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. The Temporary Project Manager is expected to consistently provide excellent project management service as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization. Evening hours and some weekend hours expected. Position guaranteed through December 31, 2013. Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience.
Account Manager Responsibilities:
•Responsible for all client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables.
•Produce and review all reports, etc., to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met.
•Ensure that client issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, addressing any problems that may arise.
•Communicate the client's goals and represent the client's interests to the team.
•Provide regular two-way communication between the client and team, to provide strong team representation and set appropriate client expectations.
•Manage appraisals, shipping, and framing of artwork.
•Manage special projects, (QR codes, online presence, collection catalog, etc).
•Implement filing systems, both digitally and in hardcopy.
•Ensure inventory databases are maintained and current.
•Ensure security and confidentiality of data.
•Plan and implement installation of artwork at multiple sites.
•Adhere to office policies and procedures
•Prepare operational reports and schedules to ensure efficiency.
Education and Experience:
•3+ years’ experience in project management/managerial role
•Masters degree or equivalent experience in art history.
•Public speaking experience.
•Very familiar with Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop and Word.
•Knowledge of data and administrative management practices and procedures.
•Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects
•Extremely detail-oriented and thorough
•Technical competence (understand multiple platforms of computer software, hardware, etc.)
•Motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a skilled communicator and listener
•High level of initiative and work well in a challenging, fast-paced team environment
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well
•Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction and good judgment
•Must be able to lift 30 lbs, and be available evenings and occasional weekends
