The Art of Moving Books - National Design Competition

The Nobelity Project has just launched The Art of Moving Books Design Competition for a bookmobile we are building with Sandcastle Library on Roatan Island, Honduras. In brief - we're inviting submissions for the exterior design of a cool island bookmobile. The winning artist will travel with our team to Roatan May 11 to 15 to paint the bookmobile.

There's also an innovation design award built around The Art of Moving Books to underserved communities. And a student award.

And there will be an exhibit of all the finalists at Wardenclyffe Gallery in Austin on May 9 and 10.

Our judges include Cameron Sinclair of Architecture for Humanity, DJ Spooky (artist in residence at the Metropolitan Museum of Art) and Jacob Ehrenberg, longtime project manager for Andy Goldsworthy.

The press release is below. We could use a little help in spreading the word and finding the right artist for a great trip to the islands.
