Music Performace Opportunity for Musicians/Scientists & Science Related Music Performers
Art.Science.Gallery is planning to host a music event featuring both science-related music and music performed by scientists to kick off our crowdfunding campaign on Saturday March 30th from about noon-4pm. We were not planning to charge admission, but rather use the concert as an opportunity to get people to pledge online to our crowdfunding campaign and collecting tips that would also support our campaign. We are arranging a diverse musical program which will include singer/songwriters, bands and choral and operatic performances. If you would be interested in performing at our benefit event. Art.Science.Gallery. is an art gallery and science communication space featuring science-related art, classes and events. Our mission is to engage the public in the sciences through the visual arts, to support the careers of emerging and established science-artists and to provide a training center for scientists to learn how to better communicate what they do to general audiences. We currently host art exhibitions and events in collaboration with other organizations, museums and nonprofits, but are on the cusp of beginning a crowdfunding campaign to raise a bit of money to evolve from hosting pop-up shows to getting our own gallery space here in town.
