San Anto Cultural Arts seeks Lead Muralist for its next mural project!
San Anto Cultural Arts is pleased to announce the opening call for San Antonio Artist submissions for our community mural program. We are looking for an innovative and talented artist or artist group to take on the role of Lead Muralist for our 45th public mural project.
The lead muralist will be responsible for working directly with the community to come up with a design that reflects the attitude, culture and perspective of the neighborhood where the mural will be located. This particular mural will be located in District 2 on San Antonio’s east side, a community rich in culture and history. The lead muralist is also responsible for cultivating a mural crew, which will help in the painting and installation of the mural. In addition they will be responsible for documenting the entire mural process, submitting follow-up reports and community surveys, adhering to San Anto Cultural Arts Community Mural Program protocol, and making sure the project stays within budget.
Entries are due by March 15th. Artists should submit their portfolios, complete with CV and images that show experience and skill in painting, design and mural painting.
