About WEST:
Big Medium presents the 2nd annual West Austin Studio Tour! WEST is a free, self-guided tour that champions the abundance of talent within Austin’s large and wildly diverse creative community. The public is invited to discover new artistic talent; see working studios; learn about artists' tools, techniques and inspirations; explore galleries and a variety of exhibitions; and immerse themselves in the arts and local business communities.
WEST BASICS: DATES, TIMES, COST
WEST will run from April 27 - May 5, 2013. All artist studios and exhibition spaces will be free to the public and open on the weekends of April 27-28 & May 4-5 from 11am - 6pm. In addition, there will be several official WEST events that will take place throughout the week of the tour. Official WEST events are creative and innovative fundraisers that celebrate the spirit of WEST and help support tour programming.
BOUNDARIES
In order to participate in WEST, your studio or exhibition space must be within the tour boundaries
WEST encompasses the area west of I-35, east of Mopac/Loop 1, south of HWY 183, and north of HWY 71/Ben White and HWY 360.
HOW TO APPLY
The 2013 WEST application is online, and can be accessed from the WEST website.
