"Twelve by Twelve Show" Anual Exhibition at Betz Gallery
Betz Gallery is now accepting submissions for \"The Twelve by Twelve Show,\" an international juried exhibition to be held from November 17, 2012, through December 1st , 2012.
The “Twelve by Twelve Show” is an exhibition of art work in a 12 inch by 12 inch format. The art work must be able to hang on the wall and can be produced in any medium. Entries are open to both 2-D and 3-D artists.
\"The Twelve by Twelve Show\" is open to all artists, age 18 years or older. The show\'s prospectus and entry form may be downloaded from the Betz Art Gallery website at http://www.betzgallery.com. The opening reception for \"The Twelve by Twelve Show\" will take place from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2012.

Works may be delivered in person or by mail to Betz Art Gallery, 2500 Summer Street, Houston, TX 77007. Gallery hours are 10a.m.-6p.m., Tuesday-Saturday.
November 17th- Show opens with Artists Reception: 6pm-9pm
December 1-8th- Pickup unsold art work at Betz Art Gallery.
Artists are responsible for providing pre-paid return shipping for mailed artworks. Otherwise, artists must pick up artwork in person.
Artwork can be created with any 2D or 3D media with the exception of film or video. All work must have been completed within the last three years, completed independently of a class or workshop setting, and not derived from any images published by someone other than the artist. Art must be 12 inches by 12 inches. This can be art in any media and format as long as it is not bigger than 12 inches by 12 inches and can hang on a wall. Placement of the selected works will be arranged by the exhibition juror and gallery curators.
HOW TO APPLY: Deadline for submissions is November 7, 2012 and notification for accepted entries begins via e-mail on November 8, 2012. Artists can apply online at www.betzgallery.com or you can mail in your applicaction to Betz Art Gallery, 2500 Summer Street, Houston, TX 77007. Delivery of accepted work from artists will take place from November, 2012. International artists whose work has been accepted and shown must make arrangements with the gallery to have their artwork returned to them at their own expense.
At the conclusion of the show, artists whose work has been accepted may pick up their art from Betz Art Gallery on December 1-8, during gallery hours, which are Tuesday-Saturday, 10a.m.-6p.m. If the artist is unable to pick up their work by December 8th, 2012, a storage fee of $5.00 per day will be assessed. Artwork not picked up by January 1, 2013, will be donated to a charity auction of Betz Art Gallery\'s choice.
The entry fee is $30.00 for up to three works per artist,$10.00 for additional works of art, payable by check or money order, to Betz Art Gallery. Submit CD, fee, and entry form to Betz Art Gallery, 2500 Summer Street, Houston, TX 77007. All work submitted should be for sale. In the event of a sale, 70 percent will be dispersed to the artist, Betz Art Gallery will retain a 30 percent commission.
All work must be submitted for the initial jury review either on a CD in .jpg format, or emailed in .jpg format to info@betzgallery.com with the completed . Work will be viewed on a standard computer screen, and artists are encouraged to test their disc or jpegs prior to submission. CDs should be labeled with the artist\'s name and phone number and list the media and title of each work submitted. Files should be no larger than 5 MB and inclusion of a photo hard copy (maximum size of 8.5 inches by 11 inches) of the images being submitted (for verification only) is encouraged. Artists may enter up to three works. Artists should not submit additional materials such as resumes or portfolios.
2D work must not exceed 12 inches in width or 12 inches in height, including frame, and must not weigh more than 20 lbs. Gallery-wrap format canvas is acceptable and must be painted on sides in lieu of framing. All framed work must be wired and ready to hang. No saw-tooth hangers and no glass -- artists should use PPlexiglas in lieu of glass, if necessary.
