28 th Annual International Exhibition
Description: The Annual International Exhibition is a
juried competition organized by the Department of Art and Art History at The University of Texas at Tyler. Internationally known artists, curators, and scholars have served in past years as jurors selecting works for the exhibition created by some of the best contemporary artists living today. Every year three to six works are purchased by the Department from this
exhibition. The purchase awards have made it possible for us to build a collection of over 225 contemporary works of art from outstanding contemporary artist. The collection serves as an education teaching resource and is exhibited in fine art teaching areas and other areas throughout our campus.
Juror: Wade Wilson founded Wade Wilson Art in 2006. His
career path reflects a successful record of curatorial,
critical and commercial successes in the visual arts coupled with a solid background in management, promotions and public relations. For nearly 20 years, Wilson has continued in his professional and personal commitment to the visual arts and arts education through his interaction
with both the for-profit and non-profit art community.
Wilson earned his B.A.in Environmental Design from the
School of Architecture at the University of New Mexico
where he minored in Art History in 1983. He then completed
