Mid-Main First Thursday Benefits Aurora Picture Show
Eat, Shop, Rock and Drink for a Good Cause

Each month, the stores and restaurants of Mid Main (the 3600 and 3700 blocks of Main Street at Alabama) join together to eat, shop, rock and drink for a good cause on the First Thursday. On August 2nd from 5PM to 10PM, Natachee's, Tacos-a-Go-Go, Sig's Lagoon, My Flaming Heart, Double Trouble and The Continental Club are all donating a percentage of their sales to the Aurora Picture Show to help support free outdoor screenings in the community throughout the year.

So, bring the family out to the patio of Natachee's for a FREE Popcorn Kids film screening... films for kids by kids starting at sunset! Stop by Double Trouble around 6PM for an Aurora Bora Bora-ealis special cocktail and catch the preview film of Aurora's Award dinner Honoree, famed photographer and filmmaker, Laurie Simmons (50% of sales from this cocktail will benefit Aurora, so drink up!) AND... Don't miss Extremely Shorts screenings at 9PM in the backyard of The Continental Club along with Big E of Big Kats and Kat's Meow spinning vinyl before the film and the FREE Beetle Happy Hour show on stage from 7PM to 10PM.

All retail stores open will be open until 10PM! So be sure to visit Judy Masliyah's My Flaming Heart for Aurora's newly designed shot glasses and beer mugs. All sales of the glasses will go to Aurora and enter you to win a private screening and dinner catered by Tacos-a-Go-Go (on August 15th)! Last but not least, be sure to check out the massive vinyl collection just delivered to Sig's Lagoon, Midtown's only record store. Both stores will also offer 5% of sales proceeds during the event to Aurora Picture Show.

Aurora Picture Show staff and volunteers will be on-site at various locations selling membership, merchandise and taking donations as well.
