World Series of Head Art

by Paula Newton October 26, 2017

Two recent news stories recount local “head art” in support of the World Series teams. Houston’s KHOU reports on local barber Jonathan Marchbanks, known for his artful haircuts, who is busy spreading Astros love to his clients. “Houston has been through a lot—through the floods and all of that,” Marchbanks said. “It’s been kind of rough for the citizens out here. For the Astros to win would be a big boost for our city.”

Los Angeles Dodgers fan Jose Guijosa is a tattoo artist and has created a number of tattoos for L.A. baseball enthusiasts, including the one at left. “I’ve been a Dodger fan since I was like 8-years-old,” Guijosa told the Daily Bulletin. “When I got into tattooing that’s one thing I wanted to do— a Dodger tattoo.”

We’ll have to wait and see who needs to grow his hair out. Friday’s game should give us a hint.
