UT Fine Arts Includes Student Input to Expand Diversity

by Paula Newton September 26, 2017

Each year, the Fine Arts Diversity Committee at the University of Texas (UT) accepts four to five proposals of guest artists they believed would further diversity and inclusion. Until now, only College of Fine Arts faculty and staff could submit proposals, but this year the process is open to students as well, reports The Daily Texan.

UT is growing more diverse across all factors, and is ranked #153 nationwide. “We want to have a conversation about continuing to include people who don’t feel included,” Associate Dean Andrew Dell’Antonio told The Daily Texan. “This is an important way to do that.”
