Davidow, formerly director of the Dallas Contemporary and the Arlington Museum of Art, has partnered with her son Seth, an art collector who owns the big building on Payne Street in the Design District that houses the new space.

The guiding concept of Davidow’s programming is to pair Texas-based artists with national and international ones. Site 131’s inaugural show is called Layering and features Dallas-based artists Marjorie Schwarz and Arthur Peña, and New York-based Lauren Muggeo.

Site 131 is at 131 Payne St., Dallas. The opening reception for Layering is from 6-9 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 19. Here’s a link to the site.
